How and where do I get my Medical Smart Card?
You can apply through our website or via your health carer. You can also text us on 066 248 3658
Is my privacy safe?
Your medical information is stored on your smart card. You have full control of your medical information. Sharing your personal record is your choice. You can share at will and your consent to trusted people and organisation that tell you what they intend to do with your data. Do not share you card information if you are not comfortable.
Your card does not contain your ID identification Number. It only contains your Date of birth. We expect verification of your medical smart card with your national ID card.
QR barcode on our card directly link you to our website data base which requires your national ID NUMBER and UNIQUE PASSWORD to log into your detailed medical condition and treatment.
Can my Card expire?
Your card does not have Expiry Date but your information may need an update if your medical condition or medication changes. Contact Medicare 38 to update your information.
Your card will need a replacement if lost, stolen or missing.

The Medical ID card is your identity when you are voiceless in dire emergencies and it also allows you to share your basic medical information to health workers.
